Biography

Dr. Joshua Paul, MD, is a distinguished ophthalmologist with board certification and expertise in refractive cataract surgery, as well as both minimally invasive and traditional surgical management of glaucoma.

A proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Paul completed his Ophthalmology residency at Temple University in Philadelphia. Notably, he served as the Chief resident during his residency and achieved the record for the most cataract surgeries performed by a resident in the program’s history.

Building on his residency success, Dr. Paul pursued a Glaucoma Fellowship at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, training under the guidance of world-renowned glaucoma specialist, Dr. Donald Budenz.

In addition to his clinical achievements, Dr. Paul is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He has contributed significantly to the field through numerous book chapters and research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Paul extends his expertise to new and existing patients, providing comprehensive and glaucoma care at his offices located in Butler, McMurray, Monroeville, Moon, Uniontown, West Mifflin, and Wheeling.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Paul engages in marathon training, cycling, passionately supporting his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with his family.
