Biography

Jack Oats, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Dr. Oats received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and completed graduate studies at both St. John’s University and Hofstra University. He received his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago and completed a residency in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, Chicago.

Dr. Oats then completed an ophthalmology residency at Nassau County University Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

The staff was very professional and walked me through each eye examining machine. Every single machine is cleaned before each patient touches it and the office itself appeared spotless.   • My wife and I recently had a visit with Dr. Oats whom we both thought was excellent and we were pleased with his professionalism and manner. I must state that my wife and I were both amazed at the rudeness shown to us when I called to make a change in our appointment when speaking to a receptionist named Laura. I had to request to be turned over to another worker who was better trained at customer service service. All other staff members were excellent and very polite.
