LASIK For Super Bowl Sunday

January 24, 2017

Take a moment to picture your perfect Super Bowl Sunday. Imagine it—the snacks, the comfortable couches, the cheering friends, the funny commercials, and oh yeah, there’s also a game going on somewhere in all of that. Truthfully, the fans of teams who didn’t quite make it this year may be tuning in for the spectacle as much as anything, but that’s not you. You want the game. No, you need the game. Your team being in it is just an added bonus. Super Bowl Sunday is its own holiday, and you’ve been waiting for this all year.

In fact, you’ve got a massive, HD flat screen set up in the basement just for this purpose. It makes sense, right? You want to see the game in all its glory—a scrambling QB outruns a defensive end and makes a miraculous pass to his tightly covered receiver, who just barely gets both of his feet down before being pushed out of bounds. Beautiful.

Did you catch that in all its sublime beauty? If you’re a glasses and contacts kind of guy, the answer may be no. Because there’s just one thing you forgot this year, and that’s LASIK.

Let’s back up. You bought a big TV, prepared a mountain of food, and washed your favorite game day sweats in preparation for this event. But you didn’t take the time to make sure you could watch it properly?

Glasses can fall off—straight into the guac. Contacts can irritate and dry out your eyes. Not ideal for a four-hour game, and that’s not even counting pregame or the presenting of the Lombardi trophy. The halftime show alone is going to be a spectacle you won’t want to miss. So why wouldn’t you want to have amazing, corrected vision when the big game comes around?

“But it’s so expensive!”

For the money you blew on that TV and recliner, you could easily have just gotten LASIK and improved your viewing experience immeasurably.

“I’m so busy preparing for the game!”

The surgery itself actually takes about half an hour. That’s probably how long your buffalo chicken dip is supposed to be in the oven. If you can’t spare a little time in the weeks leading up to the game to enhance your enjoyment of it, then some might question your fan-ness.

“Will it really be that much better?”

If you’ve watched every Super Bowl up until now with glasses or contacts, you might think that you’ve done alright so far, so why change things up? Ask anyone who’s had LASIK. The results are truly astonishing for many people. Having glasses or contacts for years can inure you to the daily difficulties they present. Once you’ve experienced LASIK, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t do it sooner.

So do yourself a favor, give us a call today and find out just how much better Super Bowl Sunday is when you can see every minute detail, and know exactly when your coach should throw the challenge flag.
