Biography

Glen H. Weiss, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery and the implantation of multifocal and astigmatism-correcting intraocular lenses. He also treats a variety of eye conditions and diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and dry eyes. Dr. Weiss received a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Following an internship at Overlook Hospital, he completed his residency as Chief Resident at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University. When not working with patients, Dr. Weiss volunteers for EyeCare America, a public-service program providing free eye exams to eligible senior citizens. Dr. Weiss has served as Instructor in Clinical Ophthalmology at Columbia University, where he taught in the resident Eye Clinic and devoted much time to teaching eye surgery to ophthalmologists in training. He is an attending ophthalmologist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. Dr. Weiss is a founding member of Ramapo Valley Surgical Center in Ramsey, NJ, and has served on its board of managers since its inception. In his spare time, he enjoys dining out and travelling around the world.
