Biography

Atul Kakkar, MD, is an ECFMG-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology, as well as pediatric and adult strabismus. Dr. Kakkar provides a full spectrum of advanced eye care, performing refractive and complex anterior segment procedures such as premium cataract surgery, LASIK, and phakic intraocular lens implantation for high myopia. His clinical expertise further extends to corneal cross-linking, the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, various laser treatments, and aesthetic cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Kakkar earned his medical degree from the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in India and completed his residency at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. He further refined his specialized skills through elite fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital. An accomplished researcher and speaker, Dr. Kakkar has contributed significantly to the field of ophthalmology, with his work being featured at major medical conferences across both India and the United States.
