After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Yeshiva University in New York, New York, Dr. Alan D. Listhaus went on to earn his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He then completed an internship in internal medicine at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center, also in the Bronx, before undertaking a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Listhaus practiced at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Diego, and spent nearly three decades at Lehigh Valley Eye Center in Allentown, before its acquisition by OCLI. He specializes in diseases of the retina and vitreous, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments. The doctor holds board certifications from the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology.
