Judy Schwartz celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary this year. So what gift did she get? A diamond? No. A nice vacation? No. According to Judy, she got the best gift ever, Freedom! You see, Judy is no longer wearing bifocals to see. She is now able to read, work on the computer, watch TV, and drive without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

Several months ago, Judy came into the office for a free LASIK evaluation. When I told her she was a good candidate for LASIK, she was excited. This was until I explained that she would still need to wear reading glasses for close visual tasks. When Judy explained she would only be happy if she didn’t need glasses at all, I told her about another alternative, Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) with the ReSTOR IOL.

Since the surgery, Judy now experiences the visual freedom she so desperately wished for. What a great Anniversary present, don’t you think?
