New York, NY, (December 3, 2018)— OCLI, a Spectrum Vision Partners (“SVP”) managed practice, has announced the addition of Steven R. Davis, MD, an esteemed ophthalmologist with more than 43 years’ experience. As part of OCLI, Dr. Davis will continue to see patients at his current practice location: 155 W. Merrick Road, Freeport, NY 11520.
Over the past four decades, Dr. Davis has built a respected practice that specializes in eye exams, cataracts, macular degeneration, blindness, Lasik surgery, glaucoma, eye pain, diabetic retinopathy, as well as other vision issues. Joining OCLI will take it to the next level, by providing expanded subspecialty care options and improved patient service hours of operation.
Dr. Davis’ practice is the fifth new affiliation of Spectrum Vision Partners’ managed practices since November 2017, when Spectrum announced its strategic relationship with the growth-oriented, private equity firm Blue Sea Capital. Since then, 19 eye doctors and 9 locations have been added across the four affiliates, expanding the leading network of nationally renowned, multi-specialty ophthalmologists and optometrists in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-State region.
“We look forward to providing our patients with the same, exceptional care, but with newly expanded services, as a result of joining OCLI,” explains Steven R. Davis, MD. “By joining OCLI, we gain the benefits and superior expertise of a leading management services organization within the ophthalmology sector. As a result, our patients will have access to improved services and additional eye care options.”
SVP administratively supports the growth and management of some of the leading ophthalmology practices and eye ambulatory surgery centers in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut Tri-State area. In addition to OCLI, managed practices include Island Eye Surgicenter, Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut (“OCC”), New Vision Cataract Center, Glaucoma Associates of Long Island, Precision Eye Care, and Huntington Eye Care.
In its first year of business, SVP has grown from 400 employees to a current total of more than 700. The organization recently relocated to new corporate offices in order to provide improved customer service. The company offers its network of multi-specialty ophthalmologists a complete range of business services.
Tom Burke, CEO of Spectrum Vision Partners, commented, “Our company is excited to once again strengthen the OCLI practice hub with the addition of Dr. Davis and his team. Dr. Davis’ 43-year history of providing high quality outcomes shows his dedication to delivering the outstanding patient experience for which OCLI is known.”
“OCLI and Spectrum Vision Partners will continue to build out the OCLI hub on Long Island with highly respected eye doctors and OCLI-affiliated surgeons. OCLI is also expanding into New York City and the surrounding boroughs and upstate New York. Spectrum will continue to assist OCLI to build centers of eye care excellence in New York, with the best and brightest clinicians we can attract. I look forward to this and future partnerships with the community of eye care providers who recognize OCLI’s long history of transparent business transactions, their focus on excellence and Spectrum’s proven ability to fulfill their vision and meet their long-term goals.”
