Long Island IOL patients are treated by the leading implant surgeons at OCLI. These specialists use the most advanced “sutureless” surgical techniques in combination with the best IOL technology, such as the ReSTOR, ReZOOM, Crystalens and Verisyse IOLs.
ReSTOR multimodal lenses are designed to improve vision at all distances, allowing patients to enjoy life without glasses. The ReSTOR multifocal lens has a multi-tiered surface that transmits and gathers light evenly over a range of distances.
The ReZoom lens is a refractive multifocal lens implant that helps hyperopic cataract patients enjoy more acute vision without glasses. The ReZoom lens creates multiple focal points which allow a person to seebetter at a variety of distances, offering quality both at a distance and up close.
Crystalens provides patients with the ability to adjust focus between near, far, and midrange. The lens is designed to mimic the eye’s natural accommodation, flexing like the eye’s natural lens.
The Verisyse lens is used to treat moderate to sever nearsightedness (myopia).
These Renewed Vision lens options can be used on patients who have cataracts or do not have cataracts. For cataract patients, these mulitfocal lenses replace the cataract-impaired natural lens, providing improved vision almost immediately, thereby, reducing the need of reading glasses. If a patient opted for a traditional IOL, as opposed to a Renewed Vision lens, a patient would require reading glasses post surgery.
The Long Island IOL specialists of OCLI are renowned ophthalmologists, many of whom also treat Long Island cataract and glaucoma patients. To learn more about cataract or glaucoma surgery at OCLI, please visit our cataract or glaucoma page.
