CK is a safe, non-laser procedure that can eliminate farsightedness and presbyopia. The CK procedure uses radio waves to bring vision back into focus without cutting or removing tissue. CK therapy can change how the eye focuses light by reshaping the cornea. Radiofrequency energy is applied in a circular motion or pattern to ablate the cornea. The pattern is applied in the periphery of the cornea to minimize interference with the pupil.
After the procedure, vision improves within a week.
