Robert Broderick, MD
Cataract & Refractive Surgery and Comprehensive Ophthalmology
Dr. Robert Broderick is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, LASIK and comprehensive ophthalmology including glaucoma treatment. He received his pre-medical degree from the University of Notre Dame, and his Medical Degree from New York Medical College. Having served his internship and residency in Ophthalmology at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Broderick then went on to complete a prestigious two year fellowship in Cataract and Laser Surgery with noted ophthalmologist Dr. Charles Bechert in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Broderick currently is an Attending Ophthalmologist at St. Francis Hospital and Island Eye Surgicenter. The New York State Ophthalmological Society was served by Dr. Broderick as its Vice-President and he has also been a Board member for over ten years. He is the past President of the Long Island Ophthalmological Society and the Nassau County Academy of Medicine Section on Ophthalmology. Dr. Broderick is also on the Board of the American College of Surgeons Credentialing Committee and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. In addition, he is the President of the New York KeratoRefractive Society and he has shared his experience as a lecturer both nationally and internationally on Laser Vision Correction procedures.
Dr. Broderick is a partner in Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island. Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, OCLI, consists of 23 doctors representing each subspecialty of ophthalmology in 7 locations throughout Long Island; in Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, Valley Stream, Stony Brook, Manhasset, East Meadow and Port Jefferson.
