Mission Cataract: Another Name for Caring
Mission Cataract USA is a private, volunteer program, which offers FREE Cataract Surgery to people who have no means to pay. Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island is thrilled to participate in such a worthwhile effort for the first time.
To qualify for this free community service, applicants must have: poor vision due to cataracts uncorrectable with glasses, which interfere with activities of daily living; no insurance coverage and no other means to pay for cataract surgery. A financial review is required.
To find out if you or a loved one qualifies, please call 1-866-SEE-OCLI (1-866-733-6254) by July 31st 2009. During this call, you must mention "Mission Cataract" to the patient care coordinator who will be assisting you, and please prepare in advance the information below, which is required.

Once this information is received, OCLI's Mission Cataract Coordinator will be contacting each candidate within 5 business days to administer the financial questionnaire.
